Setting up Your IMAP or POP Email Address with Microsoft Outlook Express

  1. In Microsoft Outlook Express, select Tools > Accounts.
  2. On the Internet Accounts window, click the Mail tab, and then clickAdd.
  3. On the Internet Connect Wizard window in the Display name field enter your name as you want it to display on your emails and then, click Next.
  4. In the E-mail address field, enter your email address and then, clickNext.
  5. On the E-mail Server Names window, from the My incoming mail server is a list, select either IMAP or POP3.
  6. In the Incoming mail (POP3 IMAP or HTTP) server field type:
    IMAP - mail.yourdomain.com.au
    POP - mail.yourdomain.com.au
  7. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, type mail.yourdomain.com.au, and then click Next.
  8. In the Account name and Password fields, enter your email address and password, and then click Next.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. On the Internet Accounts wizard, select the mail account you just created and click Properties.
  11. In the Properties window, click the Servers tab.
  12. Select My server requires authentication.
  13. Click the Advanced tab.
  14. Use the following for Incoming Mail Settings:
    Port
    IMAP without SSL143
    IMAP with SSL - 993
    POP without SSL - 110
    POP with SSL - 995
    (Optional) This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
    Select to enable
  15. Use the following for Outgoing Mail Settings:
    Port
    Without SSL - one of the following: 587
    With SSL - 465
    (Optional) This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
    Select to enable
